Time-lapse photography at Strabane foot-bridge construction site

10 Jan 2015

Our latest long term project is covering the construction of the new foot/cycle bridge over the River Mourne in Strabane. Fox Contracts has been appointed to deliver the 3.2 million pound, Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge, which will link Ballycolman and Fountain Street/Springhill areas of the town. The summer of 2015 is the expected completion timeframe. Fox Contracts, along with Strabane District Council has commissioned Colin Williams Photography to install a time-lapse camera for a period of 8 to 10 months.

Our camera will be installed in a weatherproof housing, on a 10 metre mast overlooking the river. A live video feed will be available to project managers to assist in the management of the project. The system will operate everyday giving managers unlimited access to view the project with a new ultra high definition photograph being captured every ten minutes. Photographs will be transmitted by 3G to our secure severs where they can viewed through a desktop, tablet or mobile device.

Images can be embedded on their website, or saved for use in print, web or broadcast. Our high definition time-lapse films are generated automatically, so you can have a new film online every week.
