Gibson Hotel Dublin - Aerial 360* panorama

21 Mar 2015

We were invited this week to the Gibson Hotel Dublin to complete a low level aerial 360* panorama. Sited on the North Wall beside Dublin Port, the hotel offers fantastic views over the River Liffey.

The Gibson Hotel is the ideal location to explore the City of Dublin. The M1 and M50 are 8 minutes away via the Port Tunnel.  The Luas tram stop is right outside the front door. Connolly train station is only 8 minutes away and Heuston train station is a short 20 minutes from the hotel. The Luas will take you to the City centre in 10 minutes or if you prefer to take in the views of the River Liffey a brisk 15 minute walk along the quays will bring you to O'Connell street, the heart of Dublin city.

On the journey down we experienced dense fog and needless to say we were a little apprehensive that having planned for this photoshoot it wouldn't take place. All of our permissions were in place including that from the IAA. It would have been a huge disappointment if we were unsuccessful. However after a short delay, clearance was given and we commenced the aerial panorama. The aerial photography was very successful and below is a stunning image (A frame from the panorama) of the Liffey still in fog. The interactive 360 panorama is beautiful and we will host the full version once the client has approved and signed off on the commission, with our partner Virtual Visit Tours.
